Can a water extinguisher be kept in an unheated building?
Tell the technician about possible freezing temperatures. Check the appliance’s stated operating conditions and the actual environment.
What if rust is visible on the cylinder?
The location and extent of corrosion can make replacement necessary; painting over it does not establish serviceability. Report it for assessment.
Does a green pressure gauge prove it is ready?
It does not replace checks of the appliance, fittings, history and suitability. A gauge reading is only one observation on models that have a gauge.
